Yamato is amazing. It’s well priced good food right in New Albany Plaza. The servers are extremely polite and refined! Their service is excellent and Yamato has chosen the right folks for the job! I have never had a negative experience. The food is great and service is above and beyond. Tuna sushi pieces are a little small but appears similar to other comparable places. Would highly recommend Yamato. Great atmosphere.
Love their sushi, love how after coming just a few times they started recognizing me and asking about my day. Since I live in another state and drive in to work, it makes me feel not as lonely.
Really great service, my husband, one year old daughter and I enjoyed a great lunch here when we first arrived I asked the waitress to rush our appetizer because our daughter was hungry and starting to be grumpy because of it and the waitress brought out a bowl of chicken immediately for her then brought our appetizer very quickly after that! The food was awesome the servers were friendly and fast and the prices were good! Will definitely be back.they always push new！

Today (March 29, 2025) was my first visit to this restaurant and I have to say that I will most definitely be back. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, even offering suggestions when I was unsure what to try, and service was fast and efficient. The sushi was remarkable and the lobster was delicious. I'm so happy I finally got to come with my son. Even he said he would come back every day. Thanks Yamato for great food and a memorable experience. See you again soon.
Enjoyed our dinner at Yamato. We've been meaning to try it for some time now and it did not disappoint! There food was delicious and was definitely something I wanted to try again. Enjoyed the interior, but wished there wasn't American pop music playing (this does not affect my rating though).
I went to this restaurant last night,the sushi was incredible fresh, and the tempura was perfectly crispy! The stuff was super friendly and with this cozy decor, I can’t wait to come back!
